Honda Jazz 1.4 Violent jolt after changing gear and accelerating

Iv got a 2003 Honda jazz 1.4 and I’m having a problem where after changing gear never from 1st to second but any other gear the car jolts on acceleration after changing gear. The problem is intermittent sometimes it will do it other times it drives fine. If anyone has had this issue or knows what it could be it’d be much appreciated.

Its the VTec kicking in yo0oo0..!

Might be a knackered clutch/drive-shaft/CV joint. Not one for an online diagnosis I reckon. Get a mechanic to drive it

the 1.4 engines are prone for EGR failure would be first port of call and id probably be checking plugs and coilpacks too, there's 8 of them on these engines alot of the time they don't get changed, my solution is bang a k20

engine mount? only time torque might be a thing in a petrol honda would be 1st 2nd range.....just a thought

oil filled mounts in these they don't jolt burst plenty of them 110% its egr or plugs
