I remember several of those cars, even though back then I was a long way off driving age.

I know I have a problem but does anyone really blame me...

Also my perfect R33 - all back.

Fun story, back in circa 2006 when my friend Lee had a silver 32gtr I went and test drove one in that blue around Newtownabbey direction, but decided against it as the back arches had rust showing. Think it was up for something like £8k. Instead i went and bought a diesel Mondeo 🙈

Fast forward a few years and I discovered they're all usually rotten around there and I should have followed my heart as I've never seen a blue one since! :sob:

Then again, if there is "light rust" visible, then there will be more in hidden areas that can't be seen... Could be an easy fix or a complete bucket, no way of knowing without pulling it apart... And it wouldn't have been worth pulling apart an £8k car, would it, unless you knew it would be worth £50k or more twenty years later and stuck it in a heated shed? Which you wouldn't have done 😇

Hindsight is a wonderful thing 😎

I paid 4.5k on my R33 in 2015 and lost money at it😂

Everyone said I should have kept it but realistically I needed more than I could throw at it. I didn't know half of the people I know now who could help me when something went wrong. Plus it was so rotten JDM garage UK got it in the end and broke it for bits. The best thing about that car was the noise. When it was running right, there was nothing I've driven that pulls as hard or sounds as good. I just bought the wrong one.🤷🏻‍♂️

I'm a big fan of TEs. People hate them because they suit everything. Is that not a good thing though? Lol
