Passats seem good value at the moment. I was looking an octavia for work but the Passats were cheaper and nicer inside. Ended up with a facelift CC for £4k. Pre facelift are cheaper again

It’s as interesting as any other diesel.

Engine maybe but the Passat chassis isn’t very engaging or fun especially with the standard suspension.

The CCs are harder sprung and mine has adaptive dampers. Admittedly my 5 series was a nicer steer but it was also 4x the price.

I’ve coilovers on mine and it’s far better than standard was like a boat and wallowed around on country roads before that.
