I much prefer driving down south (more to do with the road users) than up here , there used to be a massive divide in road standards but not anymore, out roads are getting worse and theirs are getting better.......

Going to the Sligo rally on Sunday so can update as its been a while since i've travelled down the West side but not looking forward to the road out of Enniskillen :confounded:

Make sure you've got nice and comfy seats ;-)

Going to Dublin is a nice drive because it's all brand new motorway. Your trip to Sligo won't be such a smooth ride (especially if you're going in the mk2??!)...

I reguarly travel from portadown to enniskillen to sligo and Galway, the road from enniskillen to sligo in parts is a bit bad but over all the whole journey is on good main roads :grinning:

Not taking the Mk2, but could be in the 25 ( :grinning: ) or a dci110 Renault van ( :? )

I'm heading the way of Sligo rally too I hope (have to convince the missus its on the way to Killarney) and I just hope I don't meet the same b*star*d gard that got my radar detector.
seanbob - watch for him at the rally - he created havoc last year booking people for everything imaginable :worried:

he'll be easy to spot - usually drives a nissan terrano all stickered up and sets up random road blocks to do people :worried:
I'll keep an eye out for the big 25 - dunno what car I'll be in yet possibly a puma

One thing i will say to defend our crap roads is that we do have good back roads i prefer to go on them and avoid the main roads as you meet some idiots on the main roads who never heard of slow lanes or above twenty mph!!
