Not many JDM or EL cars here (even less with a Tomei), hard to even find sound clips so it's a risk. There's other cars with all of those wheels already, yep they look good (bar the prodrive... :-#) but had to try something different. It was Turinis I was thinking of in 17" with a wider tyre.
fella on SN literally posted a couple of videos there the other day of a tomei at the bottom of this thread

There was a EL Car with the tomei at a kirky trackday a couple years back and it sounded great đź‘Ť

I have silver turinis (no tyre) here but in 18 and 5x100, so little use to you unless you wanna just set them in the arch for a nosey

The standard ones are wrecked tbh. Need a good refurb. I was thinking of a 17" wheel with a meaty tyre on it but took a chance on these. The bronze takes a bit of getting used to.

Pay rise time of the year in work. Would it be stupid to spend this amount on an exhaust^o)

+ change to an unequal length manifold = perfection.

Is it a daily? The sound of a tomei would wear thin pretty quickly esp being ELH, unless you like loud exhausts and race car sounds lol.

How are you getting on with this car these days @Sonny? Would you recommend a JDM hawk? I’m seriously considering one as a replacement for my gc8. I think I want something a little more modern this time and I like the fact that the newage jdm are a lot stronger in terms of engine, drivetrain etc

The interior is probably the exact same 8o|

The reasons it annoys me sometimes won't apply to you I assume as you'll be using it as a weekend car? Daily plodding is a chore, Derrymacash has 18 odd speed ramps and I absolutely hate having to drive through it because the car is just not suited for it.

However when I do get it out for a longer drive I absolutely love it. I've been to Donegal in it twice in the last few weeks and it was faultless. Was recommend one for sure. I must have done 12k+ miles in it now and touch wood it's the most reliable car I've owned.

May as well throw up some recent images

It looks great! Yeah it would be a weekend car for sure.

How do they handle? Are they sharp in terms of turn in and grip etc? Would they be comparable to an evo? If you have driven one that is.

Also are they quick enough lol, I realise they can make decent gains into the mid/high 300’s pretty easily with a map and a decat exhaust but it would also be about 250kg heavier than a classic scoob.

Theres a lovely pearl white A Line for sale on one of the Facebook group pages. It's looks immaculate underneath and has the big spoiler fitted instead of the small lip.

Sonny is right the interior is very still 90s but wouldn't worry me if it was a weekend car you be hardly looking at it.

Yeah I’ve sent that A line one, in England? Just weighing up the options at the moment. There’s a few cars in the mix.

Yeah it's in England. Was initially after an A Line with torquegt they're a nice spec.

Haven't driven an Evo, altho read through Sam's thread and he prefers the Evo! Some people just want to watch the world burn though.. :p

Everyone's idea of quick enough will be different, for motorway and dual carriageway etc yes some more power could be fun for dropping a gear and sending it but for B roads it is plenty. I drove @Tufty RS6 which was 700+ and you'd be doing well to steer that at pace through twisty road.
