Arrive In A Mini And Get In For Free!

2019 sees the 60th anniversary of the launch of the Mini. In the intervening period from then to now, there have been many iterations of the iconic vehicle. There have been Morris Mini Minors, BMC Austin Seven Minis, Wolseley Hornets, Riley Elfs, Mini Clubmans, Mini Countrymans, Mini Mokes, Mini Travellers, Mini Coopers and those are all before BMW took over the manufacture of the Mini!

To mark this anniversary, the Five Hundred Motor Racing Club Of Ireland, who own and operate Kirkistown Race Circuit in County Down, are having a special race meeting on Saturday 25th May. There will be a full race programme, featuring all of the local championship races. An added attraction will be two rounds of the Celtic Speed Scottish Mini Cooper S Cup!

There will also be displays of various Minis during the day.

Anyone who arrives at the circuit in any model or derivative of a Mini, including the more modern BMW Minis, will not have to pay admission to this great event. This includes passengers as well as drivers. Normal entry is £10 per head.

Full details of the racing itinerary and entrants will follow next week.
