Hi Guys
Do many of you or your partners maybe enter in for kitted diesel car competitions?

Looking to gauge interest

I only enter the ones I'm not likely to ever own myself (without paying an arm and a leg).
Performance petrols and the likes of MK2 Escorts & Twin Cams. You could buy most kitted diesels any day of the week

In saying that I bought a ticket for a yellow twin cam with Gold Competitions about 3 weeks ago and it still hasn't sold out. They've extended it another week

On RMS no, mostly yes for the rest of the country. I think a lot of people don't appreciate older cars no matter how good, or maybe know they couldn't insure or fuel a high powered car.

Have a gorgeous f30 320d msport, full kit, brand new 20s,tints, the works. Thought it might appeal to a bigger audience. Easier sourced than the older petrols.

This is my attitude too. Buy tickets for things that I couldn't justify buying as a toy, etc. Things like escort/sierra cosworths, mk2 escorts, imprezas and the like.

I personally wouldn't buy a ticket for a kitted diesel however I think there would be a decent market for them in NI if priced accordingly with the correct odds.

Depending on car and kit then yeah as most ppl use a diesel as daily and if I won I would sell current daily vehicles and buy another toy 😂

The likes of that would be grand. When you said kitted I was picturing an Oettinger Mk5 Golf.

a proper fast rally mk2 would be the ultimate competition for most on here, expensive though.

Some nice watches would be good - always seem to sell out quickly on other sites

I have to think of the wider audience as when you move up from the lexus at £16 and 300-340 entries etc you need stuff that will appeal to more. Like I couldn't chance a rally mk2 for a long time if ever as its too big a risk,
Watches would be a worth a look⌚

Have you been asking the wider audience or just us here?
I know the raffles are mostly interesting cars pitched at car guys, but I can't help thinking that putting a raffle on FB with say a really fresh Fiesta ST, small BMW, etc. would broaden the appeal to the masses and include more girls, teens, 20's, housewives, which in effect could be doubling your uptake. Or post-corona you could do hotel breaks and holidays. Might need lower stake though, £5 or £10.
All this chat about rare Jap and kitted stuff just sounds like want to raffle cars that you find interesting yourself, not really what appeals to the masses.
Just my thoughts.

The amount of standard derv golfs and m sport bmws r kings sell is crazy
Its working for them and id say would deff get a bigger audience

I agree,
Do you check out other Comp sites to see what is popular? RKings have prams, Smeg stuff, Computers etc. They offer stuff that appeals to a wider audience.
