Was yours delivered from a mainland dealer originally or NI? I picked mine up in Cairnryan and wondered if I need to drop it off there for pickup

We picked the corsa up from Cairnryan. We thought we would be responsible for leaving it back to the mainland but they collected it from our front door and Woodside's transported back to England for auction.

Mine came from the mainland, but they have told me they have collection agents in NI so it gets picked up from an address of my choosing.

I'm new to all this but seriously considering the leasing route for the next few years. Can anyone recommend some good sites to check out or that they've used? So far I've found 'www.contracthireandleasing.com' to have the best deals for the sorta thing I'm after. A 'warm' hatchback along the lines of Fiesta ST, 208 Gti, Ibiza Cupra, Polo GTI etc etc

Budget is strictly under £200 per month (incl VAT) upto £1600 deposit, no less than 10k miles per annum on a 3 year lease.

Me too I'm looking for a lease deal and apart from this thread haven' t the first notion.

Need something as soon as possible, up to £120 per month max, don't care what it is, and ideally no initial deposit (apparently such deals exist!)

Didn't realise they were doing lease deals on used cars now? Not that I've ever looked into them in detail

On that link you posted...

• Cars are 2014/14 registration.
• These cars have done between 40000-50000 miles
.

The 4c deal is mental.

Issue is I guarantee there's only 2/3 cars max in the U.K. That qualify for it.

The rest will have 5k plus of options on them which you'll be responisble to pay for over the duaration of contract.

Production seems to have been pulled right back on them too.

By the time you'd have one on the road you'd be deep into the 4 or early 5 hundreds per month.

~100pm deals are wee buns. Drop me a pm and I'll sort you out.

Sorry if I'm being stupid here. New to the whole leasing concept. In that Vehicle savers website what does it mean by initial rental? Obviously I get the term and mileage bit but was just wondering about the initial rental bit?

Also would I be able to go through say my father in law for a business lease? He's a farmer?

initial rental = deposit or up front payment.

business lease will incur tax penalties I believe usually not worth the hassle I think

Thanks for the reply. so say the initial rental is 2400 at 9 months. Does that mean you pay that over the 9 months?

no you pay it just after you collect the car

so on order you pay the admin fee (£180 ish)
when you get the car you then pay the deposit of 2400
then 23 x monthly payments (or whatever your term is)

road tax is included in the monthly payment so all you pay is insurance and fuel. GAP insurance is also advisable (around £140 for the 2 years). It covers the difference in car value, vs what the lease company expect back (new cost - whatever you have paid off).
