Arek did my steering wheel on my old R33 GT-R a few years ago and to be honest and it was like fúck all. I must have caught him on a bad day as others seem to recommend him.

leather lab fixed my seat last week and did an absolutely amazing job. £120 and he spent about 2.5 hrs and you’d never know it was damaged. Check out pics on his fb to see the difference. Would highly recommend him, very sound guy too and i’ll definitely use him again.

if it was mine id just fill it and then dye it, trim the bit hanging off and send it off to get an exact colour match

Do you mean mine? I never thought about that to be honest. I’ve spent enough on tidying it for sale already so could be tempted just to take the bad look off it myself.

Dye the exposed fabric below? Might just try a sharpie on it for now!

yeah. i done something similar on the mk2 golf to patch an actual hole on the bolster to take the bad look of it

i used this
Leather Repair Kit Glue Filler Car Sofa Restore Seats Hole Tear Scratch Rip | eBay - though mine had white filler when i stupidly never thought of getting black filler!

yours still has fabric below it so you could fill it & dye it handy enough. you just need to get the specific colour dye for your seats as they look more navy than black

Sharpie will defo take bad look of it, i done that for years on mine lol

Want the seats in the SL freshened up and the prices I have had are bibical.

I got the 2 front seats, door panels and centre console done the Rangie 3 years ago for £350. One Leather Specialist has quoted me £700 for just the seats in the SL and they are not bad at all, I am just being me and super fussy.

Surely prices can't have went up that much?

Are you talking about a full retrim? For that, £700 for two seats sounds very reasonable. It would be twice that in England.

You may have noticed things getting more expensive over the last couple of years, cough 😇 Everyone has to make a living.

That is an incredible price.

But yes, leather hide is WAY up in price. We can't get vaulting boxes recovered any more, not economically viable.

No, that's just to re-dye them. They definitely don't need a retrim, the colour has just wore off in a few places.

Ouch...

The usual story I guess... How much is it worth to you, and how much does someone need to make a viable business out of it...
