Its worth noting they are not cheap 5TH GENERATION

I have led headlight bulbs in the main beams in my Insignia. I wouldn't entertain them for dipped beams though.

They are much brighter but the pattern is way out. This means little difference to me as my 120 watt led lightbar does all the main beam duties.

I only changed to the leds so they matched the light bar.

Mine are the thin type with a 2 diodes and were marketed as 4800 lumens.

They have the concertina style heat sink on then. I've have zero issues in 12000 miles

Edited to add, these are the exact ones from that exact seller

fitted these to my bike, 2 mates use them. direct fitment. straight onto the beam setter. no ugly over bleeching like HID. direct bulb replacement with no modifications or lens or wash jets like law on HID. they are just a replacement bulb. might not be as good on a car as it needs air for the rear heatsink/fan. but might fit older lights with the rubber boot round the connector.

Have a set of the above fitted to a 2001 civic and have to say they are a he'll of alot brighter but the standard lights are terrible in my car. Only have them in about 5 weeks but can't complain, and will get another set for next car. Got mine on eBay for £28

Just fitted a set of H4 Nighteyes to the Range Rover. So both dipped and full beam. Direct fit plug and play.

Pictures are hard to capture right and the camera changes focus and that walls nowhere near smooth, but they are definitely brighter and have a sharper cut off, halogen has wee flares.

No full beam picture as the Range Rover has a second H1 full beam which is still halogen so hard to notice the led, but I'm very happy with them so going to order another set for the full beam H1's

H4's AND H1's? So effectively 4 full beam bulbs?

if you have room to fit the fan type like mine, do it. they're waterproof, but like anything it has its limits.
i'v heard of a few melting lens.

My 1994 rover 200 and 1987 golf had the same setup. Why car manufacturers stopped doing them I don't understand.
Rover 200 only has a H4 bulb for dip and full beam?? Dont think the lights are that good in mine, will try the LED bulb in it at some point.

That big heat sink sticks out the back of the headlight in the Range Rover, no cover over it so gets loads of air.

H1's I've ordered have a fan as they are a bit bighter.

Someone removed the s3 xenon headlights and fitted h1 projector headlights

Have to order the h1 myself too with the fan. Might wait to you get them and if you wouldn't mind send me a picture ? You like a sales man for them who doesn't get commission. Everyone on RMs buying them lol

@ruairi83

I would have a look online before ordering LED replacements for projector lenses

Apparently they don't work well in projectors because the body of the LED blocks too much light, HID is the better job for projector lights

As roverspeed said @ruairi83 they may not always work in projectors.

Brother tried a set in his golf the other night that has Hella xenon replica lights and the bulb left a dark unlit circle in the middle of the pattern.

Bought a set for the wife's 1.6tdi golf, looking forward to see what extra ponies it's going to liberate. Might even take 3rd gear
Lol, can't wait to get the H1's to complete my set, Range Rover will be a drifting machine then.

To be fair my H4 ones are on 25watt each and the H1 ones are a little brighter but still one 36watt each. Instead of 50/55watt each
