Never heard of this before... Insurance to cover your license so if you lose it you get a pay out to help pay for transportation costs. Got this email during the week and thought I'd share it.

Not sure what to think. Handy in one way but a bit irresponsible imo :-#

The Money Networker team has unearthed a great value product which protects you from all of this. It's called "Flashguard" and it's an insurance service provided by St. Christophers. These guys are specialists in protecting drivers who depend on their car or motorbike.
Once you're covered by a Flashguard policy, St. Christopher will pay you up to £12,000 for alternative transport costs (including taxi, train, bus or plane fares) if you lose your driving licence and find yourself disqualified from driving.
Their policies can cover you for disqualification due to speeding or totting up rules, to help keep you mobile and in your job. The policy is even available if you've already got 9 points on your licence, and if you apply when you have zero, three or six points you'll receive the maximum cash benefits.
And the cost? Minimal! Cover starts at just 15p per day - which is nothing when you compare that to the thousands of pounds you'd need to spend to simply stay mobile without a driving licence. We estimate you're likely to need to spend £2,000 or more on a travel card, around £4,000 on taxis ...and what price do you put on convenience and flexibility?
Weigh these costs against the minimal premium for Flashguard and you'll see that it's an absolute no-brainer as you're always only a few flashes away from a driving ban.

You'd need to be expecting to lose the license for it to pay off, handy for the drink driving types.
