With The TR7 Tied up and out of my Hair, i will be focusing on the Midget moving forward..

Mapped by KGP a few weeks ago - nice figures and superb Torque output from the engine, but not without issue -

The Toys such Paddle shift, Launch, Traction, where not able to be utilised due to a gearbox issue - the Feedback to the ECU was not consistent enough to enable these functions.

So i had to make enquires and upgrade a lot of the Gearbox internals due to small amounts of wear in various parts of the box, nothing like a last minute rush... (1st race Sat 26th)

Thankfully the DTA ECU is simple to use and i can program the functions myself - but a test day will be required to fine tune and prove out

A few late nights this weekend should get a lot of it wrapped up.

Also got the ball rolling on a Full house Millington Based 2 Litre XE for next year :p

I'd a yarn recently with Raymond, at Race & Rally, and he has been receiving great feedback from gearbox specialists about the Motul gear oil he sells, and that these guys use in new and refurbish units. They are reporting noticeably less wear after stripping stuff for a rebuild.

I'm looking forward to 26th!

I must speak to Elite to see if that's an avenue worth looking at, i use Castrol B373 and change it regularly, beauty being my Diff uses the same so its only a matter of Keeping one type of Fluid on the shelf!

Now that was a surprise!

What has caught your eye now :innocent:

Maybe not the best time to sell something like that, but no idea to be honest.

Nothing unfortunately, I have put the car into storage for about 20months while our new house is being built.

Cant help but think its a waste sitting there unused - in two years of ownership i've only managed 2.5 race days due to Family Commitments and Covid Restrictions :worried:

Fair enough if it's not getting used. Better to get the cash for the house. Unless it's a reasonably inflation proof car, there will be a lot of that going forward... See where the market is at and go from there.

If anyone is interested in this drop me a line - Available as a Roller or Complete (y)

Also Brian James RS3 Shuttle - Full Package ready to go Racing in GT's, Roadsport, Hillclimbs, Sprints, Trackdays etc.

Sometimes life commitments just get in the way of expensive hobbies like racing, your not going to go much quicker reliably for the money that you are asking for the car and it looks like very good value so it shouldn’t sit about!

I did the same myself in 2019 due to a baby arriving and moving house…but after a year away I was craving it again, I’ve built something else up for racing again hopefully next year and you forget the time, hard work and cost that goes into building them!

You are mad... By the time you get settled into the new house and have the time to go racing again, this car will cost about £75k to build.

Unless you need to free up a bit of wonga for the house, I'd be keeping it tucked away for the future and save a wee bit for a Millington lol

Thanks for comments guys - i've kind of lost interest & the enthusiasm to be stuck in the garage until midnight 3 nights a week prepping the car..

We have 3 youngsters under 4 which is already a full on task never mind an impending house build.

Maybe the enthusiasm will return but in the mean time, most things are still booming so i think now is the time to sell the car to recover funds and put them to a better use...

For Example -

991 fund.

Lol your right, I’ve done 10 months of late nights in the garage after the daughter is in bed and I’m really tired of it but I know that if I chilled out for a few weeks now.. I would be like right what’s next

I bought an M3 after selling the last race car and kept it road legal and did a few trackdays and that was the plan for the future, after 3-4 trackdays all I could think was … I wish I still had my race car

You can’t win 😂 unless you have enough spare time and cash to do it all
