Mk3 golf VR6 highline

So this is my first time posting on here, I’ve always had the daily family cars but now I’ve managed to get my hands on this. It’s a 1997 VR6 highline with 110k on the clock. It’s already had a full restoration about 3 years ago with new wings being fitted and a full respray the interior has been redone and everything works as it should even the heated seats. Plans are to pull the coilovers out of it and maybe go for a standard suspension with H&R springs and change the wheels open for suggestions on these or do you go with the common rep BBS splits. Comments welcome and any suggestions also. Thanks.

Gorgeous car. Deffo wouldn't be putting rep wheels on that car though. It looks far too well finished to not have a genuine set on it

Very nice. Drove one of these recently and the grunt is something else.

My vote for the wheels would be something 17" 90s style in a sensible width.

That looks a real nice example. I would lean towards maybe Azev A`s as well if you where deciding a change in wheel.

I have had a few in my time as well and will own an other some time.

Yeah I knew the previous 3 owners and who done the restoration on it....it’s only done around 500miles in 4 years.

Nice, rare sight now, had one myself many moons ago. Unreal snort off them!

I’ve seen this car in the metal loads of times and it’s an absolute minter, and going by the previous owners way of restoring cars it’ll have been done properly.

The note off that full Milltek system is superb, I was very tempted by this myself until the Edition 30 popped up!

I would even stick standard Highline wheels on it to be fair.

Or even these BBS wheels, not sure what model they are though?
