Would there be anyone breaking a VW Golf mk5 that would have the subframe suitable for an 07 TDI 2.0?

Ballyclare / Templepatrick area ideally.

Cheers. I was getting the front lower arm trailing bushes changed and the bolts holding the bush housings to the subframe sheared. The bolts are steel and the subframe is aluminium (as far as I know) making it difficult to get them out without buggering the subframe. Might have one from a local breakers so long as it comes off cleanly.

Volvo's!
Yeah, steel and alloy were never a good combo. Was expecting similar issues with the Skoda when I was doing bottom arms but got away clean.

Not sure if you got sorted but check eBay, i've just picked one up for the the other halfs mk6 for £55 shipped.

had exactly the same problem, from what i can see mk5 and mk6 fwd frames all look to be the same

Thanks, got sorted with a local breakers in the end. They had tried an A3 and a mk2 TT but neither were quite right. In the end a red mk5 came in and the mechanic was able to get the subframe off cleanly in the end.
