Yeah have always found flux to be good for modified. Got an absolute grilling from my current insurer about a change of wheel colour, would hate to think what they'd be like if it had a proper modification!

I'm with Flux as well and no issues. Although last year I got a quote with HIC (Flux's sister company) when renewal came around, HIC quoted me cheaper so I took the quote to Flux and they matched it for me which saved a few £££

Flux were decent for price but my renewal came through from Admiral and it was lower than last year for our multi car policy. Added the remap and the guy checked what discount he could give - ended up getting the S3 for about £420 (all mods declared) and the Mini for about £190. Happy with that 👍🏻

I left Admiral modified insurance as I found out they won’t pay to replace the modified part like for like, legally covered but say someone rear ends you and your fancy exhaust gets bent, they’ll cover you but only pay for an oem part to replace it! That’s where the proper modified specialists win for me.
This may have changed since but really worth checking on

There’s only springs, remap and induction mods to my car so nothing that I’d be too worried about replacing

Flux have always been decent for me, with this years renewal I am noticing them asking for more and more supporting information. Like this year I have to fill out a modified car report form that wants detailed info on everything done to the car. On top of that they wanted photos of the car in the garage.

If someone rear ends you it's not your insurance that pays for it though.

so trade renewal came in today and they won’t cover my modified at all 😳

i have went from having modified evos to they won’t even cover a van with an engine change or more than 15% increase in power

called flux after going threw this thread again

i am not entirely happy that they couldn’t transfer my ncb but they did cover all the mods after starting a new poilicy just for it and as i do live in a part off belfast that is usually on fire can’t complain to much

Did you get sorted with flux @carmad. ?

Mine is due next month I think so will be trying flux for the first time if my renewal is too dear

yes i did the guy in the modified section was helpful he actually said the more mods i declared the better it would be . They really got what i have did to the van others didn’t wanna know .

they even seamed keen on insuring my bedford ( which isn’t finished yet )

Just on that NCB issue - Flux were happy to accept a letter from my broker stating my no claims from my time with Axa even though it was a trade policy.

Might be worth checking in case you can save a quid or two?

i tried that tho he said a letter is not the same they acknowledged that i have that and they checked the MIB that i didn’t have any claims ect
