MOT & NCT

If my car were to be sold to the south, and had MOT on it, would it have to be NCT'd anyway?

Yes. It would need NCT and VRT/duty paid to put it on southern plates. However most people are of the opinion that if a car has recently passed the MOT up here that it should sail through the NCT test.

it needs to get an nct yea but doesnt need it in order to pay the duty and to get on southern plates
