really well!
Gutted for Quarteraro. The commentators kept saying how the Honda was the fastest bike on the grid, Dovi and Rins kept correcting them. There is going to be some brilliant racing this season, the top teams all seem so close

That was brilliant, looking good for the rest of the season. There was a lot of coasting for a while to save tyres, but kicked off nicely towards the end.

Great job by Cal again

Yamaha didn't look like they've really closed the gap that much compared to last year?

Ducatti and Honda the ones to beat again, Suzuki as wild cards.

What happened to Lorenzo, some injury from practice?

Lorenzo had an undiscovered broken rib

The batteries in those electric race bikes/cars are highly unstable. An electrice bike caught fire while being charge at the TT last year. I was actually looking forward to watching MotoE though

It's a LI-ON battery the exact same thing as in your phone, satnav etc... IMO issue is the 20KW dc fast charger, charges to around 85% in 20 mins..

That's a lot of juice for a battery producing close to 150HP

Wow, that's bad. That could be enough to kill the manufacturer. Good thing nobody got hurt though.

Lord knows what happened, but yes, those fast chargers can be dangerous. Then a whole garage full of them, imagine the total current needed for charging all the bikes.

Might "just" be a general electric fault in the building from drawing all that current.

Or it could be something completely different and unrelated too.

Wow, that's impressive. All new kit for all the teams, and I mean all kit, from laptops to bikes. Some insurance claim that!

Marquez just disappeared there, lol! Wasn't holding back once he was well in front either, still got a few fastest laps too.

Was a brilliant race behind him. Great to see Yamaha and Rossi up there. Must be so frustrating though, so much faster round the corners and then having to watch the Ducatti blast by on sheer power down the straights...

Shame about Cal, but rules are rules, he's the one who jumped the start at the end of the day.
