Also, a thanks to @syecadelic for the Kanji plates. Real cool touch and great show plates replicating it’s authentic plate which it had on in Tokyo.
Drfitworks supplied the Work T7R’s, Work centre caps, Work wheel nuts, deep dish Nardi, boss and NRG quick release.
Streetracer in Bangor supplied and fitted the interstates road legal track tyres. Big thanks to them! interested to see how they cope.
Bought the J7XTV reg to try and replicate “JZX Tourer V” as close as possible.
Booked in with Colin and Marty up at SSI for full service, underseal, timing kit, fog, delimiter etc

Yeah DVLA have definitely improved their communications. was very impressed with their help in registering the evo!

• Collect from port with export docs, bill of sale, etc.
• Insure on chassis number
• MOT on chassis number
• Complete HMRC NOVA application online to show the importers paid all necessary VAT, etc.
• Send off registration docs with all my export docs, bill of sale, etc
• Get a tax book back.

So last Friday, the car was collected from the port and I was due for delivery on Saturday but I ended up going down Saturday evening and collecting it with @Darragh and @jayk
Great feeling when you see you car for the first time since it left Tokyo

So upon first inspection, the car sounded great and healthy, the only downside is that the paint wasn’t in great condition and it’s something I’m OCD with lol. I contacted a good 10+people and got quotes and if I rushed for a respray, i wouldnt have it over Summer which is a bit So I’ve decided against that and will wait to do it over this coming winter. So if you see it, don’t be expecting a show car finish lol, more like a touge drifted finish

Once we got it home, it was time for a very quick test and we found out it had a diff and a very tight one at that. Something that wasn’t listed on the auction sheet that I am very glad of.

The car has been at Supra Specialist Ireland for the last week and will be there until MOT in just under two weeks time. Then time to send off the paperwork and get it on the road. More updates to follow

I drove mine from Dublin port to Belfast with no plates. No idea how I didn't get pulled.

Best feeling ever sitting in it the first time. Htd!

Very exciting but as i don't have a daily, i've been off the road for the nearly 6 months between buying, taking delibery, and getting it MOT'd and registered for the road. Wouldnt be as bad if i was insured on something else lol, been killing me!
