we might be alright unlike a lot off projects on here i am not afraid off taking a grinder to the intercooler or the body work to make it fit lol

worst case i’ll keep it for the zoo zoo pizza 👍
The grinder? 😂😂. I’ve a couple in the yard or you can take the one off my van🤫

Race and Rally is about as good as it gets locally I think for tuning shops? Unlikely to carry universal intercoolers.

They seem to carry a lot of AP stuff which is what we would use them for sometimes in work.

Car Builders Solutions are very good for odds and sods, clips and clevises to finish things off.

Just checked race&rally, they have things like oil coolers and radiators in their Web shop.

They do a lot of rally car prep work, chances are they could help find something that fits even if it's not listed on the site.

They're in Carryduff.

Not just hang it off the front bumper Japanese drift car style 🤣

i did that with my old viva as there was no room for the intercooler

so i painted it and super glued the letters to the intercooler

😡 boost pipes 😂

as i mentioned earlier i had bought a universal intercooler kit and it’s basically up to you to make it fit

one off the aluminium pipes was too long so i chopped it in half

now the boosty type people on here will know you need the wee ribs to keep the silicone hoses from sliding off under pressure

so we broke out a special die in the beed roller 😉

and how it turned out

Anything
i hate that we don’t have any local motor sport shops here any more

i ordered a 550mm wide intercooler of ebay 🙄 and if you actually measure it it’s 700mm wide i emailed the guy and he said yeah the 550mm is the core size 🙄 it didn’t say on the add ffs

so i may not be able to make this intercooler work and might have to order another one

so that’s intercooler number 5 😂
Try AutoRadz in Laws yard, moire Road lisburn. He has made us coolers for heavy plant so imagine this should be handy enough.

i wanted something off the shelf in case it goes pear shaped down the line

i have “massaged “

the inner wings and the intercooler now fits

i have also started making a support bracket for it 😃

mate i know it wouldn’t buy a wheel nut on some off the cars on here

it’s more off a F Y I for someone thinking off going down this line with their own project

not every thing on that list is specific to my project i mean even a rotten nova the parts bill can add up

over the years i have seen so many people start a project and they soon realise it’s out off their mechanical / financial ability and the project gets abandoned / scraped

What kind of s&m sh*t is that counting up how deep you’re in 😂 And real numbers too, not even the ‘bargains’ you told the wife you got them for.

i currently have 3 projects on the go so i have to watch where the money / time goes

to be honest my Mrs doesn’t care unless it effects the house ect ( she bought me the engine for the van )

it’s more for me i have had projects in the past that have spiralled out off control

Tho what if i spent it all on one car 🤔
