Right where to start. Well I got my LHD imported and sorted.

Then took to sorted a few other bit on it, I'm planning to repanel it in the summer. But work so far has been servicing and interior. As you can see the beige seats where extremely rough and I did the best I could to freshen it up. Found some brand new mats in German in an old dealer and got them, plus extra wood and a doohle din.

Great reg on that too! Great to see these being saved. Bro has a light met blue diesel, club I think with around 120k and uncle got a met red Connoisseur SE diesel that's a non runner. What's mad is that they are now the equivalent of a P5 when I was a kid which would have seemed ancient!

No point keeping it secret now as half of Northern Ireland's Rover community saw me on route to the mot centre today to get my fail sheet.

Never mind everyone who drives past my house saw it today! Never had as many phone calls, texts or knocks on the door for a Sunday.

Yes, it's a 6 door Rover 75.

Yes, it's 1 of 13.

Yes, it's the former Mayor of Exeter's car.

Yes, it had disappeared for a long time ago.

Yes I found it.

Yes, I sold 4 cars this week, thank god.

Yes, this was not planned.

Yes, I took it to mot not knowing what it needed just to get a list.

And finally, yes, it needs a ton of work for the retest.

I will get more photos when I do the video as I be documenting the restoration of it on my youtube channel going forward, so subscribe now and I aim to have a introduction video up later in the week.

So what's going on, well this is the former Mayor of Exeter's car. It was with Exeter Council from 2003 until August 2017.

Sadly things like the Exeter crest, flag and mayor's number plate was removed and moved onto a new BMW.

It was put up for auction, and shipped to Northern Ireland, when I found it shipped to Mallusk, just outside Belfast. And oh boy was it in a poor state then with 79.7k miles on it.

I made enquires, and found it had been sold onto a gentleman in Donegal, originally to be painted silver & black!

Well I dare say when it arrived they where shocked at it, as the photos of it at auction where vastly different to it in the flesh!

This was it in the auction where it sold for Ā£2750, and when it arrived in Northern Ireland, another dealer sold it in for Ā£4000, so a nice profit for him. I'd offered him Ā£400 for the state of it!

2003 ROVER 75 6 DOOR LIMOUSINE NOT HEARSE. car for sale #MG

Regardless I managed to get the buyers details, kept in contact with him, and helped him along with the car where possible.

I was downsizing my fleet a lot, I'd 11 a month ago, and I'd sold 3 of my 4 I'd for sale when I took the call about the car, and after a lot of talking it over with other half I made an arrangement to go lift it.

Now it had been used in Ireland but I've brought it home, put it through an mot, got a fail list and will be restoring it gradually over the summer. Its not a bad list, sills, a broken door handle and a horn malfunctioning. Not sure it will make the 60 day retest date but we will give it a go.

For those that missed the other thread, I've finally got the Irish funeral company graphics off as part of the deal, I said I'd remove them which as a former graphics fitter was no problem to myself.

Got a few photos of it here quickly and will do a video of it later showing the faults, how bad the sills are etc. Its going to be a bit of a restoration, but nothing extreme, it's just the size of the car is the issue.

Needs bits, trim, silly stuff, but nothing major once the sills are sorted. So that's the plan for now. Be a while before next update until its getting welded and I will try to document the work.

As you can see the headlining has been changed at some stage and a few other changes.

Me too, found it on YouTube. Embedded links sometimes don't work for some reason. Maybe browser related, they all seem to do their own thing, lol.

The edit function disappears a few minutes after posting. That's entirely Cooper's fault, it's how he wants it on the site :innocent:

Well as some of you may have spied on my social media the car is currently being totally and ultimately overhauled mechanically in almost every single aspect.

If anyone wants I've done several YouTube videos on the project.

Project Alice - MG ZT-T 190

Today the car came off the ramp, and it needs a few tweeks, but it's getting there. Paint will be bad for another year or so sadly due to other priorities but she's back.

Oh and she goes. Missed this car.

that is class.

I must admit, I would be tempted to turn the limo into a camper myself šŸ™ƒ

I test drove a ZT190 that was being sold for buttons, but my insurance company said no because it was a CAT S with no report available. Sad I missed out on it.

I am always on the lookout for 1 of 2 specific specs

MG ZT190 Pre-facelift - Xpower Grey

MG ZS180 - Facelift Saloon - Nightfire Red

And if I won the lotto, one of my cars would for sure be a ZT400 Dreadnought.
