I genuinely couldn’t recommend colm enough at bandbridge motorworks, if you take a look at my thread you can see the work he carried on on my bearings etc. I drove from outside Ballymena to him because I wanted it done perfect.

Cheers, booked in with him for 27th July for full service inc DCT, Diff oil etc....seems a really sound bloke tbh and great communication by text too when needed ..

He’s taking an oil sample and getting it off to be tested...so I’ll see that that shows....
I’ll plan to get them done at next years service id say ...

Oh and I’ve an Eibach Pro Kit from @Davey@Procar that hes going to fit too 😊

Got the M3 back from being at Colm Hyland, Banbridge Motor Works...
have to say I’m very impressed with him- he’s very professional and happy to talk away giving help with whatever BMW related!

Full service inc everything- Diff oil etc, he even made sure to add the FM to the diff oil that I’m not sure most places would bother adding.

Best part of the inspection was that he said it was clean, completely dry underneath and straight, always good to know it’s been checked over by a proper specialist.

Oh and he fitted my Eibach pro kit 👍

Always said I’d have a white e92 m3 at some point this makes me want it in grey so much

Sitting perfect

Cheers, yea was white or space grey for me too...
For me tho white really needs the carbon rear and front bits- and then it looks great...
I’d love the BMW performance rear spoiler but I think I’m happy with how it looks now tbh...
The 20’s have really grown on me now too, especially having it lowered slightly and correct profile front tyre.
They sit out flush too- with no need for spacers, think I’m going to stick with them

Good job, glad you were happy with Colm. What about the rods bearings?

Yea he’s a really sound bloke- I’ll be bringing it to him for everytging now..
He’s gave me a container sample of my oil so I can arrange to send it for one of those companies that do the tests- problem is I’m not sure of the exact date of my last oil change- the service book shows it was done last Sept by BMW but the OBD shows it was done again recently before I bought it with no receipts tho- Colm thinks you need the exact dates- I’ll check tho.
Either way I’ll get it done next year I’d say...
The oil level is funny in these after a service coz of no manual dipstick - so was showing near the minimum level mark when I got home -
Colm kindly arranged for me to go to Bavarian to pick up a litre of oil to top up with- was a nice touch

Not much else done to this since the big service....
The other side rear caliper started to stick so had it replaced too...
Now need to source estoril colour brake caliper paint from @Woodcutter to do the rear callipers and probabky touch you the fronts

It’s driving really well, having the Eibachs, 20’s with a 30 front profile tyre can be a bit hard over bumps but handles great- not crashy just a bit less roll and a bit firmer but comfortable enough.

Only having it as a weekend /evening type car is great- can really appreciate it more...I’ve never had a second car before for commuting etc but it’s definately the way forward!

No think I’m keeping it....
Supposed to be saving for a house and need a wee boost to the savings ...
So have taken it off the road for the Winter into the new year....

I’ve spent about £3.5k on it getting everything the way I wanted it so not worth selling as wont get another one as good for anywhere near the price again...
And love it too much lol

Well sold this a few months back for a few reasons , main one being I need 5 seats.
I tried the 2 car route but cost me more I think and was a hassle.

But- as mentioned in my 1st post I’ve always loved the E46 M3 after having one years ago, I have bought another one , this one being an even better example ,

2006 M3,
Silver Grey w/ black leather
52k miles
Genuine 1 owner
Every E46 M3 available option..!
Inc sunroof, blinds, folding mirrors, HK, heated seats, TV, bluetooth etc

Absolute immaculate, never been out of the garage if there was even a hint of rain,
Underneath car, inside arches etc are so flipping clean, interior is like brand new
Over the moon would be an understatement...
Got it for a great price compared to what they’re going for these days -as its friend of family selling it- it’s a widow selling her late husbands pride and joy.

Will get a few pics/ thread up again in due course - just needed to share that lol :grinning:
