i know you've hunted about for one for ages mate, and you've made a good choice, since it was always going to get a full respray the paintwork was never going to play a pivotal role in deciding which one you were going to buy. The rest of the car is sound and the engine has been looked after so you're onto a winner.

Get the buffer out first before you get a respray. My Orion was pink when I got it, a few days on the buffer and it came out gleaming red.

like Barry said, maybe it needs set.. they tend to need this if its a new camera, or was reset.. duhhh...

the settings on the camera are wrong and cant remember how to change them back

the pics were taken last friday(a week ago)

car has had a good sefvice with plugs,oil,new locks,battery,starter recondition etc before it hits the roads legal after the 4th of march

then it will only be out for the rolling road day before it goes to get resprayed
and a new set of rims etc on it

i'm sure the bodyshop will rub it all down and repair any affected areas fella's. then it will be resprayed and look as fresh as the day it came out of the factory.old fords aren't my thing but im sure this one will look just fine when finished.

there is only a few parts rusted a small patch on roof, rear arches very minor but to save them going again after the respray im welded metal plate into arches
and a minor bit of rust of passenger side door and the filler cap

but im sure come the start of april there will be no rust in sight and hopefully not for a good while
