well after months of waiting ive finally received my gsxr 1000 throttle boddies and pocketed,lightened & balanced piston

heres the pics

rite so thats just about everything i need to get the engine built back up and in the car
so fingers crossed it'll be running soon

well started today with intention of building the engine back up, but **** me we were flat out in work all day so only mangaed to set the pistion ring gaps on cylinder 4. progress lol

boring tedious oul work but needs doing :up:

well got an early start so got ripped into the engine build today:up:



got the pistons back into the block and big ends torqued up then fitted the oil pump and drive chain

then on to re-fitting the powder coated sump

flipped the engine over and fitted the headgasket

recon/ported&polished head fitted and torqued down (1st time this engine has seen a head in about 2years) lol

now to fit the hight lift cams and carriers & pulleys etc

racey citroen C2 vts rocker covers :up: excuse the pink oil cap thats just john maxwell being gay!!!

then i bolted on the go faster bits lol

ok thats 2day work done
still a few wee things like sensors and water pump to be bought but thats the main chunk of the engine built

car is all most ready for mapping just a few issues to sort out 1st

anyways taking the car into work to go over everything with a finetooth comb

1st time its been on the road in over a year
