My Vectra A project

So I was tagged in this on Facebook last Friday, after a call to the seller Saturday morning I Lifted it Sunday

1995 Opel vectra A 1.7diesel
Fitted with a 1.7izuzu engine

Had a massive problem with lights on the trailer an by the time we got to mayo it was dark so really had no choice as we would have caused an accident

Anyway fast forward an on an had a quick look to see what it needed

1st yo it was being ran from a small bottle of diesel as he wasn’t sure wat state the fuel tank was in

2nd he had said he thinks the gear lever was on the wrong spline as the gear stick was flappin all over the show

Had every fuse and bulb missing

Anyway made a small list an went to see an old friend that has loads of cavalier stuff

Got bits that I needed but will be back up this week for more

Anyway some pictures
On the way home after I got a few bulbs and wired them up

The reason for slap in the gear stick

As it’s fitted with a GSI/Turbo kit I said I may as well continue
So yesterday I lifted this lot

So few pics as it stands now

Only worry is this

Needs 1 patch in the boot an the towbar pulled off an possibly need repaired when that comes off

Will be a good job once done always liked the saloon better the isuzu is a great engine. would your mate have a turbo for one of them by any chance

I’d say he would have. He must have 10-15 cavaliers, 5-6 old mini’s, few nova’s, corsa’s, belmonts an old Astra mk2s

I’ll do the Levi’s part but brown boots and checked shirt just don’t together on me

I need a drivers door card for my gsi, what door card is currently on the car that you are swapping?

Crappy ones lol. No electrics in this, it’s an envoy so poverty spec, now I’m thinking of Saab turbo for this and 8v my blue one

Was at the shed the day for a bit moving stuff an trying to tidy but never went that way

But anyway some of the things I’ve to sort
No nut on the end of the driveshaft, ball joint nuts all lose. Missing subframe bolts an that’s only 1 side

Work will start tomorrow and hopefully get all suspension an hubs changed into 5 stud with new wheel bearings
