A few of us have been doing a Scotland weekend for 18 years now every year on bikes, an 02 954 Fireblade was my first bike over here and it was brilliant. Place was empty but it's alot busier now it's the NC500.

This is the first we've ever done cars .......

Thoughts so far are........ .....

-The GT3 and DB9 sound amazing and have daft high speed ability
-The Elise is fantastic on twisty B roads but a bit nervous on the fast bumpy stuff, 900kg issues
-The MX5 is faster than it should be
-The 350z sounds, goes and looks ace
-The MR2 keeps up with everything on Davanti tyres, probably the fastest car here😂

It’s just insanely good fun.

And I am simply in love with my beetle!

Looks great. How long did you guys take to do it?

I took the headstaggers at the weekend and bought a£1,500 Audi TT roadster with the plan of trying to squeeze in the NC500 (or a road trip generally incorporating the NC500) before the winter. Where's the best place to go for tips and advice?

It truly is a phenomenal trip - when @Carson and I did it 2 summers ago it was just a brain melting moosh of unreal views and sceneries.

Fish and chips at Applecross Inn was awesome, just rounded up the day we had and the odd beer stop long the way in local pubs in the middle of no where.

100% doing it again in the near future.

I would say it's REALLY busy now.........I've been to John O Groats 3 times, the first time there where about 10 cars a few bikes and us, that was 10 years ago. This time the car park was almost full and the single tracks are just jammed with motorhomes.

When we went 2 years ago it seemed ok, dont think it was that busy and that was in the middle of summer in glorious weather.

Old Man of Storr on Skye was very busy for our hike but a part from that I dont think anywhere else was too crowded - obviously pre covid and staycations

Car of the trip, the MR2 turbo GTI RSR 4wd TuRD 🤣...........all things considered it was the best, I mean it cost next to nothing and did everything.

It's actually a 2 stroke, explains the performance.......well it must be due to amount of oil that went in it.
