I'll stick the resistor in to get it retested then find and fix the fault after.

That was similar to what I bought for the DC5 so all you need to do is solder those connections onto your current plug and then you can de solder it when you get the chance

So, had my first chance to get a look around and see if I can find any issues. Did a resistance test on the clock spring and its returning 0.7 ohms, does that sound about right, or too high/low?

If I loop out the block at the steering column and test the airbag side, I'm getting 1.0 ohms back.

To close this issue off, a replacement clock spring sorted the issue with the SRS light
