If a car doesn't have the original plate then you can hand the current plate back. They will assign the original plate if it's available, or another age appropriate plate.

Don't know if that still applies if the current plate is already age appropriate but never hurts to ask.

The official line is that they will not issue an age related NI plate to a car that has already had one and it was removed, if you bring a car in that was never reg'd here or in England then you'll get one. I've looked into this a few times before and again recently regarding my bros car. They've limited age related NI numbers left so if a car already has an age correct English plate you'll not get one. I'm assuming Coog's reg was still available and that's how he got it back again. It's worth trying if the plate was taken off bros car 15years ago or more and hasn't been reissued to another car
If something had a private reg on and then removed they used to re reg the car, but now it reverts back to the original plate, but once it goes back on the car it's non transferable.

Spotted an RBZ (1996) early MK2 Primera yesterday, tidy enough, but a few marks down one side.

Just saw a metallic green (teal) Mazda MX3 that looked in really good nick. Always liked those, even though they are pretty short on power

Rover 600 doing the rounds here past while. Always loved them, bro had a diesel one that was incredibly reliable, sold it with almost 200k on it.

Missed a lovely standard 5 door E reg pug 305 being driven by a young lad a few mins before spotting this.
Got to love a nice 245  Definitely rare now. At least nice ones that haven't been run into the ground or rusted away.

That one looks like there might be something in the boot :innocent:

Somebody knew what they had lol

No doubt the Mk1 & 2 Escort 2 doors will end up as rally cars or resto-mods, probably the Mk1 Cortinas too, maybe the beetles. Mk3 Transit SWB flatbed, unsure what you could do with that lol, maybe a V8 would make it interesting.

10 points for @FM155

Some moneys worth there. Hopefully it's staying local!

Surely that's for England?

Hopefully to be brought back to use. What a waste having that rotting away in a shed...

Better that than scrapped to be fair. It's only recently that these cars have started to increase in value and looks like they've been sitting a while!
