Think I scrapped the majority of those tbhSaw one last week. Couldn't believe it. Even MK1 Focus' seem to have all but disappeared too.

My dad had a green one lol was a rocket shipMy dad had a white Vitesse which was the one to have back in the day. Electric everything, fully loaded. I actually learnt to drive in it! I loved it
See that car parked outside the owners home. Seems to still be a daily driver!View attachment 250940Majority of these ended up in fields or on the track

I’ve a set of alloys for sale my dad had on his Carina e if there of any use give me a shout
Or scrolling eBay for that one ‘no longer available’ part which was linked to a common problem only found in those cars36 years old and still trucking. That's some going. Part of me would love to be dailying something like that but I imagine the reality would mean spending quite a bit of spare time tinkering or being very familiar with the local garage.
That kind of caper is just over the horizon for the st170... lots of parts for the mk1/1.5 focus are rapidly vanishing from existence! Other than the repair and maintenance cost it’s the biggest problem of owning an older car!!Yes indeed. 9 months to find a radiator for a metro. Was looking for two new doors the whole time I had it!

Missed that car last week.
Plus the fact that at auction in Japan they are fetching crazy money now 10k for one that 10 years ago you could have got for 600. That's really dampened the importing of them.I think a lot ended up written off as a result of that
Used to see a steady stream of them visiting me for stuff but that's died off to a trickle now. Still quite a few hidden away as project cars which is encouraging.
