Camry. Loved by Americans due to there reliability, comfort, etc.

A solid car, but stupidly dull to drive. Dad had a 2.2 Petrol Auto for a short time and it was dire.

My father had a red one bought from ( I think ) Malcolm Templetons. The engine blew up and after it was fixed, a dog ran out in front of him and wrecked the front fibreglass panels. Not a lucky car.

Bit of a Toyota thing going on under the skin. The Eclat version in particular had the Supra wheels and some of the chassis parts. It even had the taillights from the AE86 Corolla.

They were whatever was on the shelf in Norfolk when a car was put together

It's the Lotus way - design and make the important bits (chassis, etc.), and then scrounge the rest from whatever surplus parts bins were available at the time.

My Elise has bits from Rovers, Vauxhalls, Viper (yes!), and lord knows what else

Possibly that blue one in the pic but the lotus with the supra wheels also had toyota lights, maybe it was a sprinter.

Yes the lotus came with toyota lights, if you ordered a replacement lotus rear light it came in the toyota box

Basically similar to an AE86 Corolla; front engine, RWD, LSD, but more power. I don't know why they weren't more sought after.
