We've recently invested in a new paint scanner, or spectrophotometer if you want to use the technical term!

This is an absolutely genius bit of kit for colour matching and saves so much grief trying to match a colour by eye with colour chip sets.

We've had some great success with it so far for all manner of jobs, including old classic cars that have been painted previously and nobody knows what colour it actually is, and without a scanner you wouldn't even know where to start!

We have one in work and it's a fantastic bit of kit.

I use it all the time to colour match paint and fabric. Could never do it by eye as tolerances are so tight on certain colours.

Should be a useful tool for you. Just keep it well calibrated.
