Panel wipe

Never used any type of panel wipe and wonder how “necessary” it is? Planning on giving the cars a polish up and wax soonish and wondering do I need to add this to my routine.

If I use something like Autofinesse Tripple will the panel wipe then remove all of this where it has maybe masked some swirls? Would not want to remove any enhancement it gives by using panel wipe.

Panel wipe or prep only if taking it right back before coating with some sort of ceramic.

It wouldn’t be for part of routine maintenance.

It's only to give a sealant or coating an oil free base to bond too. No need for glazing and waxing

Thanks guys, that’s what I thought but you read so much on the internet it’s sometimes conflicting.

Are the more expensive buffing clothes like GTechniq MF1 worth the extra cash or just stick with the regular microfibres that I have?

The softer the MF the less chance of marring.

Microfibres can be a personal choice thing. For me I love Gtechniqs MF1s and use them for pretty much everything as they are soft and I like a microfiber with a short pile.

If it's basic glazing and waxing etc I wouldn't be too concerned as long as they are reasonably soft.
