Percentage income spend on cars

For us it's about 7.7% to run an S5 and 2.0tsi Scirocco between the two of us. And that doesn't include depreciation! 😬 Much more expensive than I thought!

"car paid for" is a bit of a dodge. Should really be taking depreciation into account, as that likely the biggest running cost from owning a car.

Unless the car doesn't lose money, or perhaps even increases in value while you own it?
Not everybody has a Whirlpool A80 1.38tdcstgtxd-i x-drybrid eco-matic on their drive. I prefer my white goods in the kitchen and old, mildly scary oil-dripping upgraded-turbo not-quite-rotboxes-yet in the parking spots around the house.
Hence expenditure being about 110% of my income. Probably.
