Well my cars in the process of frying its 2nd clutch in the space of 10,000miles, to much torque for the standard clutch to handle.

Am thinking of getting a hardened compound Performance one, Heard of black diamond being good but any of u lot have any recommendations??

The cars a 1996 306 d-t

Turn the boost down a bit Cormac :-D

I just put a new clutch in mine a few weeks ago and it seems ok since. I take it yours is the one with the bearing attached to the pressure plate like mine?

try a company called 'Helix' they should do a Helix cerametallic sprung paddle clutch for your car, i know they definitely do them for 106's.

Clarke bros. they will give you a clutch with competition linings and you trade them your old one too maybe, real good and a few of my m8's use their clutches on track cars and never had bother, reasonablely cheap also

I've got refurbished clutches from them in the past and never had any problems. They really know their stuff and I'd highly recommend them too!

Last time I was there they were making huge 5ft tall brake shoes for some big barge on the Lagan!

The clutch on mine is on it's way out too, but I think it's more to do with the 70 year old previous owner!!!
