Can see you regretting this before it’s all done.. if you aren’t already 😂

Seriously though, will be a nice companion for the 355 once it’s sorted.

Big Yes to the hardtop. Personally I've never been a fan of cabriolet or targa 911 until very recent 99* models. Really helps the look

Alternatively ................ go the whole hog! Wouldn't be the first cabriolet to be converted to a fixed roof

Cool car and a great investment as well.

That looks like a big project. Are you doing all the work yourself?

If your looking for a specialist to restore it for you then I’d recommend John Millar in Limerick.

Haha madness you found it! Did the guy charge for keeping it for so long?

No actually, absolute gentleman.

Your uncle must be an interesting man to have a beer with lol

George McMillan is an absolute wealth of knowledge with anything Porsche and a very helpful man too, be well worth a chat.

Also you should join the owners club, you get a shed load of discount in a variety of places and decent parts discount at Porsche Belfast too 😎

Thanks for that @big_pete , top tips there

Fantastic project. I didn't even realise they did a hardtop that replicates a coupe. Is it removable, that's bound to be the best of both worlds that gives the option for some sunny cruises around

About 30mins going by some reported experiences.

Tremendous. Though a pretty overwhelming project when you first saw it I’m sure, would’ve taken some motivation to get stuck in!

Just going to nibble away at this one, I’ve a few weeks paternity leave here so perfect excuse to nip down to the garage for a day or two.

Brave man!!

All the best with the project, love seeing something like this taking shape. I get great satisfaction working at a car that has been lying up for a while. (Well once it's finished, during I most likely want to burn it)

Have to agree with @mark19 and yourself done a few restos and allow enjoyed the experience of it (not the money side) i found to many niggles ruined the cars for me and ended up selling them on.

keep the updates coming.

Great project but unless you have confidence in tackling much of the mechanicals. Prepare to have your pants pulled right down. Porsche parts prices are on another planet.

I bet if it turns over it’ll fire up! 👌🏻

I’d hate to be the man turning the key first tho lol

Worth spending a few grand on if it stands you nothing. It’s easy £30k+ finished
