I’ve just had an offer accepted on our next house - it has a bigger garage with space for a 2 post lift. Therefore I’m going to put my new quickjack up for sale.

I know a few in here we’re interested, drop me a PM. I’ll properly advertise it Monday.

Spotted you in Enniskillen a few sundays ago. Great looking car!

Thanks - Had to run up for a PCR prior to our holiday. Only Randox that had an appointment!

Not much happening on the 911 front. Most likely book it in for a service shortly!

Had the car in for a minor service at McMillan. There was minor rattle from the front suspension which turned out to be a worn coffin arm and track rod. I opened to have them replace the inner/outer track rods on both sides and two front coffin arms.

Car is now driving really tight, love it!

I also gathered parts to replace the belt tensioner arm, damper and pulley. I tackled this job myself.

Next up is a trip to AG automotive to have some paint rash tidied up!

It's difficult to get time to detail a car these days, but I took a few days off and gave the paint decontamination, light machine polish and applied Gtechniq coatings.

Also helped a friend do the same to his 996 Turbo

Are those splitters Porsche parts? Really like them. I was after something similar for my 718, but can’t find anything.

On the 996? It's the Aerokit, which was a Porsche part you could buy. It's supposed to have a rear spoiler also, but he didn't fit it.

On my 997, the skirts are GT3 RS items, very subtle but the beef it out a bit

So my headlights were staring to look tired. No where near as bad as some, but certainly on the path to looking bad.

Managed to source replacement lenses and had Alan at AG Automotive replace them for me whilst I was on holidays.

He heated the lamp to weaken the glue and then replaced with fresh butyl.

Results are unreal!

So the time has come to retire the 911 Turbo from daily duties.

Since March 2019 its been my only car
It's picked up both my kids from hospital post birth
We've used it to go on holidays, packed with the kids and our stuff
It's been unbelievably reliable, practical and fun.

But, it's at 92k miles, still looks as fresh as a car half its age a miles, but it's time to retire it to part time duties.

I've bought a 2014 XC 90 family wagon, and plan on storing the 911 over winter and then using it again in the summer - :grinning:
