Time to bore you all with another members car thread!
I know 99.68% of you will think I’m lacking brain cells for selling the M4 for a Ford, I’ve never been a badge snob or loyal to a manufacturer, I just buy what turns me on  I had the M4 for 3.5 years which is plenty for me, it was a faultless fabulous machine imo but it was time to try new things.

This thing is pristine, distance buying is always a worry as the M4 was pretty much perfect, this is up there with it condition wise!

Debit card pillaged, we headed up the road from Wantage (Oxford area) onto the M6 where we stopped to visit the in laws

Drake muscle car pedals, it’s impossible to heel/toe with the standard teeny pedals, hopefully these help

Unbelievable Mark. Perfect colour and spec, all we need now is some noise and a demonstration of how well the line lock works 😍.

Can't wait to see what you do with it.

Shame to put a front plate on it, I'd definitely get one of the static plates.

Very nice, very good GT car. I covered over 1800 miles in one over 10 days on a road trip in California and it was effortless.

The only thing I’m not a fan of is the rear lights, is there anything aftermarket available?

Euro cars are meant to be much better in the suspension dept than the softer US version, I was shocked at how it goes round corners, I was expecting them to be big fat wallowy beasts but it’s got a good front end on it, it’s a bit hard over all, but nothing I can’t live with, and I’ll be making it worse lowering it. It’s certainly not as comfortable as the M4 to do lots of miles in imo

I’m absolutely loving the manual box so that will get better, hopefully, it’s very short and notchy and doesn’t like to be rushed, also the clutch is as heavy as my old Evo Cusco twin plate lol. It shifts along a country road really quite nicely once in track mode and you take it by the scruff. Character is an over used word, but this thing has it in wheelie bin loads.
Plenty faster, prettier, better built, ‘better’ badge but this has grabbed my attention and puts a smile on my face :grinning:
I fully accept I still may be a mentalist :joy:

I really like the iconic lights, although I do have a set of tinted covers coming to try, thankfully we don’t get the US ones with sequential indicators, really I wouldn’t have bought if it had lolol

Jeez how good does no front plate look on that! I love the current gen Mustang, and if this turns out anything like your M4, it will be a stunner!

I’ve been looking at Static plates, reuseable sticky type ones, the pics don’t show how sharp the crease is right in the centre :grinning:

Know all jokes etc but what’s the rear like compared to the m4? Is it relatively planted or looking an excuse to slide?

That's lovely, health to enjoy.

Much prefer that than a M4, for noise alone!

It’s much more predictable than the M4, planted unless you provoke it, M4 had a habit of getting on boost and stepping out randomly, especially in 3rd, which was also fun lol It’s very easy to slide when you want it to but it has so much more drama about it even at lower speeds

Unreal. A few people had done dyno runs over on the Mustang forum and found removing the hydrocarbon trap gains anywhere between 4-7bhp.

I got used to the clutch so never bothered, but the Steeda clutch spring is one of the most popular mods Steeda S550 Mustang Clutch Spring Assist 35 lb/in

Mine was always a little clunky going to 2nd when it was cold, some people found changing the gearbox oil fixed it but it went away for me when warm so never bothered with it either.

You made the right choice with the Roush, the cold starts with it don’t even compare to the stock setup 😎

The front looks so much tidier without the big stupid plastic plate holder!

Health to leave junctions sideways whether you intended to or not 😂 the Michelin PS 4S make a night and day difference in these for grip!

Thank you mate, and thanks for the pm’s, got there in the end!

I’ve seen the steeda spring but I think I’m going to leave it alone, it’s just me getting soft having been used to a DCT box lol The only time I really felt it was sitting in stop/start traffic on the M6, left knee started to complain a bit!

Got the quote back from Blackline about a Celtic tune so think I’ll get that done once the exhaust is on, anything that may give gains is a winner :grinning:
