Helmet yes
Fire extinguisher is not required for this event

I spoke with Stephen Lipsett last week online and he said that we did need an extinguisher in the car? It was specifically the drag racing I was talking to him about right enough.

The driver HAS to wear long sleeves and trousers along with their helmet.
What's the deal with the long sleeves thing?
Thanks for the heads up, I would have 100% been wearing shorts and a t-shirt..lol

Wearing long sleeves, even if only a t-shirt will provide some protection from flying glass, in the event of a side impact.
It is amazing how a little piece of light fabric can stop a small shard of glass from penetrating the skin.

Have a safe day !!

Cheers

Picked up a small handheld one today in Halfords for £15 if anyone is wondering where to get them at short notice.

Impreza not going to be ready for this, engine currently being rebuilt, bit of a shame as this Is only 15 mins from the house.
Might take a run up to watch it and torture myself

It's never been a requirement at any other event.

Although it is very sensible to have a dry powder fire extinguisher in the car regardless. You just never know when it might come in handy.

Foam is ok, but not generally as useful given where you'd probably be using it.

I said 35kg but probably over 40kg, maybe more, didn’t weigh the wheel.

Flip sake @Boydie i can’t believe you stripped out a lovely S3 for this 😂
It’s already quick as it is, now it will be all rattling when you build it back up again 🤷‍♂️😆

You may go and buy a proper drag car as you clearly love it

You should take a horse jockey with you, get him to take it down the strip for you while you're at it 😂😂

If going that far you may as well pull the mirrors off and maybe ditch the tailgate when you get there, oh and some turbo lax the night before 😉

It was always hilarious watching people do this at Santa Pod etc. The entire car stripped out in the pit areas. Not a chance would I ever do that ****. Even funnier when it started raining and they had to put it back together in the pissing rain ! lol
Even folding mirrors back or removing them....like seriously ?
