After previous owners having a problem where it wouldnt rev past 4.5k where it hit a limiter of a sort
Found wrong ecu to be fitted in it so swapped it out with correct one and its running like a dream now, alot faster than i thought it would of been

Think I am maybe confusing it with the mk 3 astra gsi. It had a wee black splitter that sort of filled in/ levelled off the middle of the bumper.

Was the sport bought local?

Yea the gsi astra had a lower splitter. Sri/gsi never had a splitter. People tended to fit laguna, Megane or espace splitters to them

Very nice, hard to beat a Cav.

I very nearly bought a Red SRI way back 2007 time, but I drove it and it was really ropey.

I saw a mini group of classic Vauxhalls the other day passing Knocknagoney. 2 Chevette HSR droop snoots, a Nova GSI (i think) and a white Cav SRI.

Can’t go far wrong with Azev As for 80’s/90’s cars. There was a poll on pistonheads for the most iconic wheel designs and they were up there.

two genuine sills fitted and spare wheel well was replaced, and its getting a new scuttle panel

Well worth spending the money on a car like that.

I’m an OE tart, Id have the car back to a more standard ride height with original BBS wheels and chrome kidneys. But I know that’s not what the cool kids want
