Hi, wonder if anyone could help me... I have bought a Brian James tilt bed trailer and the previous owner felt artistic and done a crap paint job on this trailer.

So now I'm looking to remove Hammerite paint from it.. so looking for some advice before I waste time and money on product and trail and testing methods... what's the best way to get it off?

Want to take it back to original condition and get it stickered up like it originally was and fit the bike wheel chock

Also planning on coming back from Scotland at the end of the month on the boat if anyone needs anything small brought home?

Go and get yourself some proper heavy duty automotive paint stripper, not that crap Nitromors type stuff. Comes in 5L jars.

It’s lethal stuff and horrible to work with but does the trick.

I’ll find you a supplier for it in Stirling, I’ll email our Starchem Rep for you in the morning.

It’s classed as Hazerdous Material so DPD and Fastway who we use wont take it.

Hi pal did you get a supplier

It would most likely damage it, I wouldn’t risk it to be honest.

Thanks if I can get some ill maybe try it on a test piece and see how it reacts. Do you have a van delivering around the country or anyway if delivering. If I'm in your area I will pick one up but it's a bit of a drive from comber
