So thought I would share a few photos of my new car.

2000 RenaultSport Clio 172 Ph1, 50k miles. Over £20k spent on this car over the past few years.

Here is a little about the car:-

Engine spec - Cylinder head was removed and sent away for porting along with the inlets, while it was at ALD it had a set of Supertech one piece valves fitted, also fitted 16 new valve guides along with new valve guide seals, Catcams 421's were fitted to the head.
Megan bottom keyed crank pulley, new bolt and a new engine damper.
The engine also has a set of ARP rod bolts and new big end bearings were fitted, a black Samco hose kit with stainless steel hose clips has also been fitted.
The engine and gearbox mounts are the K-tec uprated items, there is also a Powerflex black series bushes fitted to the dog bone mount.
Rolling road custom map by RS Tuning, the car made 192.1 bhp and 160 lbs ft.

Suspension - The car sits on Bilstein B14 coilovers and new Renault top mounts, the front suspension has been removed, shot blasted and powder coated in satin black, new SKF wheel bearings and new ball joints were fitted along with Powerflex black series wishbone bushes.
It has 20mm H&R front wheel spacers just to give the front of the car a better look as the front wheels look a bit to tucked under the front wings.
The rear axle and hubs were also removed, shot blasted and powder coated in satin black and black series Powerflex bushes where fitted.

Brakes - The front callipers have been stripped, clean and fully rebuilt with a Big red seal kit and new piston's. It has Hel braded brake lines with stainless steel fittings along with super blue fluid.
DS2500 pads are fitted in the front with standard Renault discs and pads in the rear.

Exhaust system - Is a 182 4-2-1 exhaust manifold which has been heat wrapped in Dei titanium exhaust wrap, there is also a stainless steel de-cat link pipe with a K-Tec racing super sport cat back stainless steel system.
New exhaust mounts with the rear mount being the better Prima racing mount.
All of the exhaust heat shields were removed and powder coated in sliver.

Comments welcome.

Absolutely stunning! A renaultsport/sabelt steering wheel is a worthwhile mod. Had it in my old one and it felt great to hold.

Any plans for it?

If I have to part with the m3 I will be buying one of these and going down the ITB route with it.

Cheers mate. To be honest the steering wheel was retrimmed using a rear seat from a 172 so has already been retrimmed using lesther and alcantra and it feels far better than standard.

Plans I would say would be a brake setup as of which yet I am still undecided what route to head with it. Apart from that the car cannot be faulted any other way as everything has basically been done to the car. It really is so quick off the mark and a real joy to drive.

Love how that sits, real purposeful stance.

I hated the look of these around 2000, 15 years later and that looks fantastic!

Jesus! I had a 182 and apparently they only make high 160/low 170s on the roller and it was fairly nippy, this is bound to go well at 190!

That is today, really love that.

£20k though?! That's a big spend for a wee Clio!
