Thanks for offer of lifts by a good few on here but I’m feeling very sorry for myself and couldn’t image I’d be great company for 300 miles as a passenger.

The stops were to long for my liking me and @JameST ended up headed back upto the SallyGap after! Was a good day out.

Was a great wee day out, good to chat nonsense about cars again, some lovely motors especially @JonnyG-Tturbo GTR.

Views over the mountains stunning, just didn't have much luck on the mountain roads. Plenty of sheep, cyclists, pedestrians and tourists about.

Average speed over the mountains was probably about 20mph, average speed from Applegreens to the boulevard not for public forums...

Super craic. Well organised. Great route/roads/scenery. We spend the rest of the day exploring in around glendalough and did the walk up toward the visitors centre/lake.

Some pictures from me, didn’t really get too much of a chance between talking, eating and having some general holigan moments with Dans Cooper S the whole way home , he’s a nutter! Good crack but definitely think it could have been more structured (few specific photo locations for the group, specific times for stop offs etc) but was a good day out and only £83 in fuel

The return journey was such a hoot the gtr sounded awesome as you left the toll on the M1 (I think?), shame about the torrential rain and side winds they were a bit of a distraction.

Great day out, been wanting a proper spin out for a few months. Pretty good turn out and nice to get chatting to a few new faces.

It was hard finding a carpark with enough spaces to accommodate everyone, l’ll pass this on to the guys for future reference. Our biggest hurdle was traffic and space at any stops. Like the idea of the photo stops, this was the 1st real big run we have organised apart from Europe, which was 7 cars. Good feedback great run, good to meet some new faces too. the next one will have those points included.
Apart from the even split before Sally's Gap, we found the walkie talkies, we used in Europe, extremely handy to keep everything together.

Guys we're planning another route for another run. We plan on making the most of the lack of shows and thought we'd do another run out to get everyone out again. We'd love to see some rms guys again and we'll be taking note for photo locations etc and bigger car parks to try and keep everyone together. A full itinerary will be posted closer to the time. I'd recommend trying to get more national roads into the route when planning. There's some fantastic roads I'm on weekly that I regularly wish I was in a car on

Gutted I missed this as I would've liked going to Sally gap in the car, driven some of the mountain route in the lorry before and it was great lol


N52 is a very good route, plenty of good sweeping corners, and there's several parts of the road where it's long and straight enough to have a lot of machines pull on the shoulder for pictures etc

It's also possible to do a lap of most of Donegal in a day, done Belleek to dunfanaghy down to letterkenny Strabane and home in 13 hours in the lorry so I'd say that's doable in a car a touch quicker

Donegal has great roads I've been up round there several times now on different runs. We've an outlined route planned and we'll be staying this side of the border this time round and we're being mindful of finding places to pull in to accommodate everyone due to the great turnout we had on Sunday.
