Not feeling those wheels at all for some reason, car looks so good though elsewhere.

Haha I'm sure they'll bit be to everyone's taste, I love them.

They do look a bit off atm because of how much chrome there is I think, but that'll be getting wrapped after the paint and detail

Would love to see this on silver rotors for some reason, would look awesome.

If you like The wheels dude then that's all that really matters ... I just think the design and colour makes them look small :worried:

Would love to see this up close, you should get to one of the c&c mornings.

Prefer the peelers personally, but I’m a big fan of dark wheels on a red car. (y).

What size are the tyres? Profile looks big?

Personally prefer the OEM wheels and no one will pay attention to a 2.0TDI badge lol anyone in the know will know, anyone who thinks they know will just think its a quick derv, majority wont care lol

Will definitely be coming along to a few more c&cs, however it'll be spending a bit of time for the next 6 weeks or so away getting sorted so it might be a while lmao

They probably look small because the majority that go for aftermarket wheels on these cars go up to 21" and the new RS6 runs 21s standard, I couldn't drive this thing on 21s with low profile tyres without worrying about buckling them

Same spec as the peelers, 275/35/20 except the new wheels are .5" wider with a lower offset to sit wider!

I think most will prefer the standard wheels, it's a great design and not many owners have changed them except for painting them. The weight difference is wild even if it won't make much difference.

Yeah I'll only have the TDI badge for a while just for fun, I've a sheet of ppf going on under it so I can rip it off without the residue. Just want to see if it can fool a few numpties.

I like the wheels, I think it's just the arch gap that needs sorted now ;)

I don't think it usually sits as high, I'd literally just changed them and driven a half mile to Tesco to get a pic under the lights. I don't think I'll be lowering her though, as I already catch the underneath occasionally haha

I like them, nice to see something different. Car looks amazing in the flesh.

Cheers man, I'm sure there will be some that do like them and some that don't. I do and its something different which is my main goal.

I'd be smelling a rat if I saw an a6 2.0 TDI with massive 2 piece discs.

Looks the business, would terrify me owning something like this, it looks like you have to remove the engine to do anything with the turbos or manifolds! I salute your balls :-P

They're big but unfortunately single piece, pita as you've to replace the whole disc, bell included.

Most people won't see the discs for long enough to notice lmao

However I'm seriously tempted by this particular setup

ahhh I had assumed because they are so massive that they would be 2 piece.

I dread to think how much those are, i had though about upgrading my insignia to VXR brakes and the discs are £900 a pair, calipers and pads weren't too bad though!

So had a quick blast with snowfoam today as when I washed it in work the other day it got covered in crap on the way out of the yard.

Much happier with the result, once it's had a good polish it'll only ever see the two bucket method along with foam and microfibers

Think the wheels look even better in the light, definitely need to get a darker tint on the windows, when it's sunny they're see through

Following on from the non OEM looking mods, today I collected her after what felt like an eternity but was in reality a very very quick 3 day wait! Holy sh1tballs it's a completely different car!

Will post a video of the noise now in a minute, it is insane!

Tips dont look right at all for an RS.

Ovals get my vote

I like them however slightly smaller than I would have liked, I'm going for something completely different from the norm with this car, they are the biggest tips available with carbon I could find that were correct for me.

I wasn't going to have a 3" system fabricated then bottle neck it at the very last section. The factory tips are maybe 2.5" inlet and the miltek are 2.75" these are 3" inlet and 4.4" tip

I could have gotten custom ones made but I'm happy with these! And they're only tightened on so replaceable if I feel the need.

Cold start! the noise this thing makes now is just insane!

I will try and get a go pro or something to attach to the rear window for an acceleration noise because the blip on upshift is like a thunder clap

So it's been a minute since I've updated, but have done barely anything new, just driving it more than these things are used to, 161k and counting now...

Here's a few pictures of the awesomeness that is the 3" non resonated and minimally silenced exhaust. I've since left the car into audio Advice to have the boot lined with noise insulation as I think it's too loud for the doggo.

The propshaft was replaced due to being completely buggered which meant the exhaust had to be dropped, and I'll have to drop it again to fit the ARBs I imagine lmao! In an ideal world they'd all be done at once. Oh well!

I finally got around to removing the RS6 badge and applying the TDI one, it's had a few laughable reactions so far which was my hopes, it will now be getting removed once it goes for paint and detail as these have been put on the back burner for now, due to another oil leak..... THANKS AUDI FOR BEING USELESS.

Snapchat-2082672227.jpg

My favourite reaction was in Dublin, I was driving a little aggressively late at night, and the guards decided to see what I was playing at :joy:

"Are those tints and wheels standard?"
"The tints are factory but the wheels I changed, why? Do you not like them? :joy:"
"I do actually, I was just wondering why you changed them?"
"Because I like them...."
"Is it mapped?"
"Nope"
"What sort of power is it?"
"570ish"
"How can you get 570 from a 2.0?"
:joy::joy::joy::joy:
"Well it's actually a 5.0"
"You do know there's a 2.0 badge on the back?"
"Yeah I put it there (y)"

The pre mentioned oil leak, one which Audi missed when replacing most every other seal on the engine when it was out, is thankfully relatively accessible in comparison to the engine out seal, this one is also a common known fault and the specialists usually do it at the same time, which is why I was surprised to find oil leaking from my engine......

Screenshot_20181017-192643_Chrome.jpg

As you can see here, when you remove the crank pulley there is another big seal which gives trouble, you might also notice the ONE lamborghini stamp on the entire car is now visible, I remember looking for this stamp when I visited Audi to no avail, but it didn't dawn on me until after we figured out the crank seal was leaking that that's where it was located.

Bumper off, cross member off, radiators etc moved out of the way for access.....

Where here is my engine sitting in Audi, 5 minutes would remove the pulley and replace the seal. 8-(

Snapchat-1828593024.jpg

So now I have to get this resolved, which I will do at the same time as getting the gearbox/diffs/transfer case oil changes done so all fluids will be fresh.

I can't leave the car in for paint with an oil leak for risk of contamination, so once there are no more oil leaks I will arrange for the paint to be sorted.

Your Audi labour bills have probably paid for the Audi xmas party, for the next 5 years. Cracking car and some amount of work going into it.
