Threads a year old today, went on a decent run this weekend to try and tick over into 170k but ran a little short πŸ˜‚

Filled up in Strabane on Friday, drove a fair bit yesterday, then home today, filled up again in Antrim after 260 miles and 78 litres πŸ˜‚πŸ™ˆ roughly 3.3 miles to a litre, feck that mpg *****, cba working that out, much easier to calculate miles per litre as that's what we drive and fill up in/with
20190818_175231.jpg

Last 50 odd miles were taken rather easy to trial what I can get from a full tank, granted most of the miles were aggressive throttle I did quite well, I imagine on pure motorway with sensible driving I could see about 4.5 miles to a litre or 350 ish to a tank

Almost 15k in 12 months is fairly substantial, especially if you consider it's spent roughly 20 weeks of that with specialists in England barely budging πŸ˜‚

Service in a few weeks then if all is well with her a wee trip to the ring is looking feasible!

She handled some crappy terrain in the heart of Donegal surprisingly well, was going around plenty of corners at the speed limit of 100kph and she was sure footed, so I'm fairly confident in my own ability to push her on at the ring as there's no oncoming traffic to worry about. I'll be doing a warm up lap first without going gung ho.

love that its being driven plenty and properly too!

Shared duties with an E36 too so that probably hit the mileage off a bit πŸ˜‚

I'm aiming for first to 200k. But don't know if any in Europe have gotten that high

Was indeed haha, took a break on the way home from Donegal. Got to get that end space, pretty big spaces in there though

This is class, good to see it being used properly!

Keep me posted with when you are going to the Ring as may pop across for another blast if you didn't mind me tagging along.

So for whatever reason it was running 600hp, maybe Audi flashed it for an extra 30ish or so to make it slightly faster I dunno, but back to stock figures now, and air boxes and coil packs replaced with all figures looking good!

The air box issue is what I've been chasing fault wise since getting the car, as I always thought there was something not quite 100% about it.

Pockets a bit lighter once again, but I'm hoping that's the car sorted for faults!!

Old coil packs were original, 08 stamped, replaced with 18 stamped fresh ones.

I'll upload a few rolling road videos when I've a chance, it's unbelievable hearing this car at full chat from the outside 😁😈

Today was the first time I've heard wot from outside πŸ™Š it's unreal!!!

Also forgot to mention the reason behind the inlet manifold having to come off was because there is a turbulence flap I think they were referred to to redirect air flow, and one had shifted out of alignment over to the other side of the port

This was moved back and is believed to be the reason behind my do not exceed 4000 rpm fault, which was starting to scare the **** out of me because I couldn't figure it out πŸ˜‚

The car went from having .75 bar of boost at 600bhp with a few faults, to 582 at .5 bar of boost with no faults so safe to say I'm happy 😏

Bumper off Friday to resolve headlights fogging up

Then today I drive down a ****ty road where the front right bottoms out and send the radiator into a tizzy, pissing coolant everywhere....

I really do hate the quality of roads here sometimes!

Anyway fully stripped the front end, so headlights had to come back out, I was being careful as I'm not having them repaired again πŸ˜‚

That would scare me working on that lol a relation has purchased a RS6 recently and it’s a stage 2 map on it (I think) so looking forward to getting a scalp in it.

I'm happy enough trying most things myself, had to ask our mechanic for a bit of a hand getting the rad out as there's loads of hoses etc πŸ˜‚

Taking it apart is the easy bit, now to see if I can get it back together lmao

One of the newer shapes? I'm sure it'll be stupid fast πŸ™ˆ

The guy who fit the brakes for me left the guards in place, yet all the other owners who have upgraded to this setup removed theirs, I only realised when the car was on the ramp so decided while it was there to pull the discs off and remove them.

Hopefully it lets them cool better!

Some might call this car a garage queen 😏

Now thanks to @gav525 I'm thinking of a wheel retrim, saw this in another owners car and think it's a very nice style with leather at the sides, means I wouldn't have to worry about holding the leather.

Dirty pic from spin out with Gav, it'll be getting washed soon as it's pure rotten, you can tell because there's black dirt build up in a few spots, however the red really hides the dirt very well

Just a wee pic differentiating the light output, it's crazy how strong the headlight beam is, had to use my dipped driving in the fog last night

Another few thousand miles done, and a few more litres of oil used πŸ˜‚ won't need to service it for a while, think all the oils pretty fresh.
