@Gobsheene I had a 6x8 shed for a few years that was great. Cosy in the winter with a wee parafin heater too. Built a fair few engines in it and did rightly so still have a soft spot for sheds. ;)

There are some great threads on garagejournal and good benches to drool at but a lot are free standing.
I always prefer to have my benches rigidly fixed to the wall as it reduces the amount of material required for the frames and makes it sturdy enough to beat and pull on whatever you want to in the vice.

Just noticed the wall you have painted is grey. If you can, paint it white as it makes a huge difference to the amount of reflected light in a small garage.

You cant beat the Roses/ Quality Street/ Celebrations tins for storage!

I actually looked at a house near Garvagh that had about ten sheds along with the house for an absolute bargain. Unfortunately the wife (and me i suppose) wanted to stay in Portstewart.

Still have to drop the upper shelves to paint the walls and have to run a foam liner across the wall below the bottles to prevent the door striking the wall :grinning:
Also found another use for my Metro Blaster Sidekick....it blows all the dust out now, so no more sweeping up :grinning:

Trust me that's untidy for Brocks's garage !!

Even the 3 push bikes used to be colour co-ordinated on the wall !!

I wish I could upload photos from my phone :worried: took photos the whole way through renovating my workshop. Still loads to finish on it but its workable for now.

Then the other shed we have made a start on it, some home made racking and a press, engine crane and pillar drill. Great spot for us to mess about with our own cars

This is my work in progress. Just got the work bench up (a worktop).

Few office cupboards for electric tools and car bits and bobs. There is going to be a small weights section and an area to sit down at the bench.

Plans are to get the floor either painted or some sort of flooring down and do SOMETHING with the walls. I want them to be smooth and white. Is there any other way to get the smooth other than skimming them then painting?

Cheers

This thread makes me realise I really need to get my **** in order.

You boys have hooks, shelves and hangers for everything whereas all my stuff usually lies in a pile on the bloody floor lol.

Dexion is the future - I was fortunate to get mine from a fellow member a while back - was just gutted I didnt have the coin to buy up the entire stock of the stuff

Real men buy one cleaning product that does everything from a bloke on Romford market with a mini bonnet, a bottle of lighter fluid and a box of matches oh and a waft of old spice.

Although i think im willing to give @brocks a green card as anyone who has pictures of their ride launching at Santa Pod on the wall can wash their car in Chanel No5 for all care.
