Think the new generation of DA polishers are overtaking rotary. The new pads and polishes available mated to longer throw machines have changed the market significantly.......

Host of 15mm throw machines at around £150, mated to either Zvizzer pads and polishes or the Megs Microfibre system would be my tuppence worth. Even the polishes such as Koch Chemie and Carpro or Scholl are game changers on a standard Hexlogic type pad.....

Rupes are great but pricey...... I changed for a Carbon Collective Hex 15 a while ago, and for all I use it, it’s perfect. I have the benefit of my old Porter Cable now running a 3” pad and backing plate, but Shinemate do a nice mini 2”-3” machine for around £140
