I had a stand at AutoSport this year across from DEN Motorsport so got to ogle at this for 4 days :yum

Interesting! May I ask why you'd do that? So you could have a car set up to your needs I take it?
why was it on the den stand?

DEN invited alot of its customers & suppliers to their stand. Russell Lord's Ford, Simpson Racing exhausts & Millington were all present on the stand over the weekend.

Thats awesome, would love one of those.

And its 100% a 6 figure build, unfortunately I know how much builds cost and mine has nothing on this, engine is probably £40k ish, sequentials are anywhere from £7.5 - £20k, getting on for £10k in just the coilovers, wiring and electronics at least £10k and theres no way that space framed composite shell was cheap.

Personally if I had 250k to blow, I think I'd probably spend it on a one off rally build than a supercar
Oh yes, If I had the choice beetween making a road legal version of this or a Supercar I'd pick this and it would take only milliseconds to decide.

Unless we are talking an F40, but thats a whole other price range, and I'm sure I'd have haters if I owned an F40 because I'd plan to modernise the engine by using a modern turbo and engine management system, more power, so much less lag and much more control, but still awesome.

There was some debate over the build cost of RSR's.

Read this online -

It’s suitable for either road or track and is supplied as a kit package that includes tube steel spaceframe chassis, twenty-piece GRP bodykit, rear axle assembly with Watts linkage, Quaife rear hubs, front uprights, pedal box and dampers. This costs £14,200 inc VAT

Pretty reasonable starting price for Chassis, Panels & 4 Corners.

The base start isnt bad at all.

But it still wont get around the fact a well built one will still be £60-70k+, unless you really do go budget on a lot of parts...which would still make for a very fast and viable race car
