Bike had its annual service today so one I got it home got the fairing stripped, deep cleaned it, then stuck the carbon on.

That's it for winter now, coat of wax tomorrow and then bringing it back into the house.

A guy I work with has recently bought an ex Allister sealey race bike .Showed me a couple of videos of it and the thing is unreal.
Sports bikes now are just incredible across the range.im so glad I lost my license when I did or I wouldn’t be typing this now.
Big balls ,no skill = a bad situation for me lol.

Just lovely........ Do I see an early k series gsxr track bike in the background too?

Cheers! The wee track bike is just an old 600 SRAD unfortunately, would loved to have kept my K5 750 as a track bike though, was perfect size for the tracks over here

Some of you on Insta and Facebook will have seen most of these, but just keeping the thread updated here an all.

Back from a 1200mile euro road trip, bike performed brilliantly and never put a foorlt wrong. Was also so so comfortable, no aches or pains and heated grips and cruise control were great to have!

My route was across to Cairnryan then on to Newcastle via Dumfries and Galloway forest park (to avoid the A75) for the ferry to Amsterdam. Met a bunch of bikers on the boat from Newcastle so next day went to Arnhem Bridge with them for a look. Then on up to my hotel near Assen for the WSBK which was also awesome!

From there I headed down to the Ring on Monday and did a couple of laps that evening followed by a few beers to celebrate still being alive.

Next day I rode the best roads I've ever been on in the Eifel National Park on my way to Belgium. If you Google maps Rurberg and zoom in on some of the surrounding roads you will see! Ended up tagging on to the back of 2 German bikers who showed me the routes then took me for a beer at Biker Ranch which is another pilgrimage that bikers need to make.

Then I headed on to Antwerp for a quiet couple of drinks(😜) with @Cunning who kindly put me up for the night. Following day was a sombre ride up to the ferry at Amsterdam again due to us only getting in at 6.30am ffs 😭

Then home across to Cairnryan next day and that's it really!

Good wee trip and got to stretch the bikes legs on the Autobahn, though only up to 170mph as the wind was a bit scary and was getting to the point where it was hard to go straight lol, so backed off to 130 and sat with the traffic instead. Kriega luggage never moved the whole trip either, really love the stuff!

Today I'll be doing a deep clean and treating the bike to an oil change.

About time I updated this. Haven't done anything to the bike at all, and haven't even been far on it this year due to work/corona so took it on a 1020mile trip round Scotland last week there.

Again it performed faultlessly, which is more than can be said for me(whisky induced).

Weather was rubbish the first day, but class the rest of the time and the roads were quiet enough to have a lot of fun on!

Really want to take the Monkey up around the NC500 as I think it's ideal for it, maybe next year.

For now the S1K is in BMW for another annual service next week, and I'm taking the new Blade out on a demo while it's in. Just want to see if it's as good as it looks and what the reviewers say. No plans to change mine yet, only thing I want to do is full system and map, mainly for the noise but mostly as my mates ZX10 has it done and the flames are unreal 😂

That looks like a class route Gav, do you have a map of it you could stick up?

Yes will see what I can do mate. May have to do it day by day though as too many via points to enter for the one big route, it kept trying to take me the quickest way and cuts off the good roads lol

Here's a rough guide to the route I done @Lappintyre @Nicky @Alan_B

Hard to zoom in and capture all stops on the photos, but had to add a few places as via points otherwise sat nav was for taking us the boring way.

Day 1 - Cairnryan to Lochcarron

Stop in M&S BP garage at Dumbarton for fuel and morning coffee, stop at Tyndrum at the famous Green Welly for lunch, then stopped again in Fort William for fuel.

Day 2 - Lochcarron to Kinlochbervie

Bealach Na Ba/Applecross pass done first thing in morning then follow coast up round. Morning coffee in Gairloch. Lunch in Ullapool and more fuel. Then we took a scenic loop to Kylesku Bridge through Inverkirkaig and Drumbeg, real narrow wee road but scenic. From the bridge it was a short blast to Kinlochbervie for the night.

Day 3 - Kinlochbervie to Inverness

Up round the remote NW, this is where we had a fuel scare lol, but made it to Tongue to fill up. Great road across the top of Scotland stopped at John o Groats for lunch, dear hole! Then a blast down the A9 to Inverness for the night. Too much to drink and too late to bed. Would not recommend.

Day 4 - Inverness to Home

Short blast down the A9 and off at Carrbridge to head through Grantown to Tomintoul and start the old military road through the Lecht, Braemar, Ballater, Glenshee etc. Unreal Road, proper playground! Get to Blairgowrie but rather than head for the boring A9 take back road to Dunkeld, cross the A9 and then the Sma Glen Road to Crieff for lunch. Then drop through Braco on to the A9 for the boring run to the ferry. Could've taken some more back roads but were tight for time and hungover and sore 😂

Can probably see us being tight for time doing it over 3 days, but definitely won’t be hungover or sore... lol

Did I happen to mention that I have soft, medium and hard suspension settings at the push of a button last night...? 😂😂😂

Epic!! Would it suit a car run too?

Definitely! I've only done it in the TT before but would love to take a decent fun car round it. We were surrounded by owners clubs all out for drives, McLarens, loads of Porsches, classic Minis, MX5s, everything really.
Surfaces are generally very good and great visibility for overtakes, even in cars.

Only bit might get frustrating is the single track parts if stuck behind campervans. To be fair every one of them moved over for us and let us through, not sure they'd do the same for cars though
