The Ulster Automobile Club, organisers of this 107 year old hill climb have, with considerable regret, decided to postpone the event due to the global outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus). 'Craigantlet' was to be rounds three and four of the British Hill Climb Championship and the third round of the ANICC Millers Oils Hill Climb Championship in 2020. Wilson Carson, Clerk of the Course, commented: "The organising team have been closely monitoring the highly dynamic development of this pandemic. Motorsport UK (our governing body) have temporarily stopped issuing permits.

Allied with Government and Public Health Agency guidance, we believe our decision in the best interests of public health and in order to help reduce the spread of the virus, was to postpone the event. We are also acutely aware of the hardships that many people are experiencing and we don't want to add to their dilemma". We have received extremely positive support from all relevant bodies involved with the event for this highly responsible decision and we are actively pursuing an alternative date later in 2020. The UAC would like to express our sincere thanks to all our volunteers, business partners, stakeholders, competitors, residents and followers for their effort and hard work in preparing for the event.
