It’s a credit to you. Well done

Does the sub grill not affect the full cone travel.

its a few mm shy on full excursion, i know it looks much tighter in the pictures
Seen this in Coleraine today, a few cars behind a Cameron cars van.

Very very nice in real life!

thanks, i have some major updates to the body with a new rieger body kit to go on, just waiting on the painter to finish it.

I've gone for a change of skirts to Rieger Tuning. I've had them dipped at NI Hydro Graphics and James did a top job. even the Huge side skirts are blemish free. I would hit him up if you need any dipping done. I've had to refit the spoiler as there was a small split due to a fault in the ABS, the swap took me all day as sikaflex is really impossible to remove!

Switch out the maxxton skirts and splitter for Rieger tuning... dont flame me as this is a bit of an experiment to see how it would look, ill wear it for now but will probably respray the side skirts body colour before next year...

new front and side skirts and lip protector fitted by David McIntyre, finish done by North Coast Hydro Graphics.

too much carbon and too many vrs logo's for me personally but as long as you like it. I think the graphics up the side cheapen the look of your car. definitely prefer it without.
again, doesn't matter as long as you're pleased with it though.

Fitted the new Columbus MIB 2.5 from a 2018 Octavia (with sim, WiFi, hotspot, 3D maps, Higher resolution, Video in Motion) and the 9.2" screen. The main reason for this is so i can retrofit the Virtual cockpit. But the screen is a lot bigger and looks really clean now. I have the bonus of linking the Blackvue 900s dash cam to the WiFi permanently so it now acts like a tracker with voice directly from my phone app.

once the VC is fitted i'll reroute the charger wires behind the dash as it looks messy at the moment.

I finished off the rear drivers side sound proofing on the door internals (took about 3 hours in all as i was feeling my way on this one. Just the door card to finish and wiring almost done. I used Tesa film, the stuff dealers use to protect paint work in transit. I covered the inner door with a few sheets and traced the cut out ready to transfer to the sound deadening. I used Auto Mute 3mm this time witch is excellent value, i got a 10m x 46cm roll for £50. The roll is easier for the outer portion as you can cut from one large single piece.

I ran into a major problem so for anyone with a skoda and wanting to run bigger speaker wiring this will be useful...

How to route the heavier speaker wire into the door?, this was really tricky as i didn't want to drill the pillars, (that wasn't happening) and the quick release connector is a sealed unit with no way to pass a wire though at all. I took it apart and noticed that the top 8 pins were unused and had the idea to dremell an opening on both male and female to pass the wire through.

Inner and outer male/female connectors....

Inner female with no access

8 unused pins at the top
doors10.jpg.b202d961524b9c4a37d0790912ba22f8.jpg

dremelled out and the speaker wire carefully threaded through
doors11.jpg.ac49b8a11c4fc96899cab3d68406fdf0.jpg

had to pass it back through the door pillar and you can see the cut out on the male end, not pretty but its all concealed
doors12.jpg.2e960b4027b9bc0a7360ab525a60622d.jpg

The speaker cable passed through the male end.
doors13.jpg.67775c00c231dc2005e4a64b7d828dd6.jpg

this was tricky as it had to be refitted before going any further as the wire had to be pulled through at the same time.

The door grommets were the most time consuming as they had to be stripped of tape and pulled back to feed the wiring though then re-taped
doors15.thumb.jpg.232ef77b2724a3d3c7d23d4a20fdc828.jpg

wiring complete and grommets refitted.

I didn't get time to fit the speaker as the crossovers need placed and bullet connectors fitted first. I did fit some fast rings though...

The winder mechanism cable looks as though it interferes with the speaker but the speaker ring is near 2" deep and lifts it away from the door completely.

they channel the energy from the speaker and fire it back out into the cabin. Luckily the rear speakers are very low in the door and the window fully down doesn't interfere with them at all.

I dont think Im a massive fan of the wheel bolt caps and the hub centres but the rest is absolutely brilliant. All the carbon looks well, especally the diffuser. Incredible job on the audio install too, amazing the level of detail your going into, Im sure it will sound sublime when your done.

Sound system looks like a great addition, i miss having a properly setup system, loved the one @Cartunes made for my 350z!

Step away from the carbon dipping machine now lol (y)

did a bit more last night, some wiring and bolted up the speaker, still to do a bit more dampening around the speaker ring. Crossovers are Sundown SAV2s with 3 different tweeter DB settings.

these are fantastic crossovers (£150 for a pair) shame to hide them.

there's another layer of closed cell foam to go on the inside door card.

went to BSS in castlereagh to remove CP from the CAN Gateway to get Virtual Cockpit controls on the touch screen and ODIS servers were down! 🤬,

so i removed all the errors from my virtual cockpit AID except for the SOS call error. I'm thinking the donor car had an SOS button or similar coded and its looking for that.

i tidied the wiring over the dash to the phone mount. from this...

I'll move this 12V inside behind the glove compartment eventually but its a bit too busy to put it i there yet and i still have some speaker wiring to sort.

its a Xvida magnetic charging dock as my phone is too big to fit in the tray under the radio. Brilliant and well worth the extra cost. The red cable is for android auto until i can get the wifi in the cabin via skoda connect.
