Well clio_styling you can admit you mistake. As long as you do learn from it :grinning:.

I kno plenty of guys that havent and have continued to wreck quite a few cars.

As Dermot says its all part of learning!

i think to many people on here are far to much to say, the guy wrecked his car, nearly killed his mates, i think he knows how foolish stupid and irresponsable he has been without all of you lot jumping on your soap boxes and giving it a bit of lip!

tough **** on the car, but from experience your mates might decided that they all have whiplash and back injuries maybe not a bad idea to inform the insurance company just incase even though your not going to claim for the car.

Glad you and everyone else is ok, and as said before, learn from this mistake. It's one thing to have a prang and continue to drive like a t**t, but you seem to realise the potential consequences. Still, damn shame about the car.

Theres no point in anyone saying "shouldn't have been going that hard" etc etc, as we've all done it.

Main thing, you and your mates are good, cars can be replaced, and you've learned an important lesson!!

Chin up, you'l be back on the road, modding in no time.

I've been in with fast_cav off the site doing 145+ out that road...

*shakes head*

exactly, that is pure stupidity!

I Agree :grinning: But at times it bes done, and usually theres no reason for it, No cars to race... Its just a sprint out the road... That I can understand you's all crying about... But 60MPH ?

60 isn't fast for an experienced driver maybe, but he only passed his test and had a full load of passengers ... there is a reason R drivers are limited to 45.

R drivers today must have money to burn... that's why I started off in an old diesel Fiesta in case anything did happen - which it did (it needed a new passenger wing) etc... There was no way I was going to have a fully-modded car as a first car. I'm only starting to think about modding my wee Mini van I'm restoring to how I want it to look now.

Good to see the TV adverts about kids speeding has been taken note of! :x

Glad you didn't kill your mates but I've no sympathy whatsoever that you've wrecked what looks like a crackin wee first car!

Did it never occur to you to drive sensibly to get your mates home safe?

Hope you get done for dangerous driving and are off the road for a year till you mature a bit!

Ohh dear... You crying again?

We all make Mistakes, Its all part of learning.. And doing 60MPH on the Cookstown-Dungannon Road isnt excatly "Fast"

im sorry to have to say this but ur a real pratt. the amount of irresponsible crap you have posted about speeding makes me want to kill you. 60mph is fast enough thanks, what happens if theres someone walking along the road and you come flying along at whatever mental speeds u do to get your little thrills? and dont give me that crap about 'oh id be able to miss him, oh im a good enough driver etc', because its bull****, at 60 if something unexpected appears u havent a chance. but if doing ridiculous speeds makes u feel like more of a man then go ahead, just dont be moaning about it when ur lying in a coffin and ur family are devastated.

I was doing 60 on a national speed limit road last week and I was coming up to a nice slow curving bend tootling along at the same speed... but then just as I was coming round the the slight left hander a lorry was pulling out of an entrance into my path... even though the road was 60 and I was doing less than 60 at the time it was very difficult to stop in time. It was no fault of my own or the lorry driver - it was a 60 limit road. If I was doing anything in excess of 60 the 306 would have a modified bonnet/bumper/headlights...

you're a lucky fella. you should thank god cos someone was sure looking out for you last night.

bad luck about losing the car, but at least it was none of your mates....

now speak to them about not making a claim against you...

and quote of the lot to my man, JayT

He's just passed his test. If theres any better example for a new driver to be made to retake the test, then this is it.

would it not just be a case of wreckless driving/dangerous driving and therefore just be a fixed penalty
